MARC JACKSON | Founder & CEO
Marc has 20 years enter­tain­ment indus­try expe­ri­ence in senior man­age­ment roles in theme park devel­op­ment, new media and inter­ac­tive enter­tain­ment, includ­ing 5 years as CEO of video game com­pa­nies. Marc began his career work­ing in project man­age­ment for the Walt Dis­ney Imag­i­neer­ing group on its Paris theme park, and pur­sued his MBA in Europe where he devel­oped his pas­sion for dig­i­tal enter­tain­ment busi­nesses. In the early 1990’s at the dawn of mul­ti­me­dia online enter­tain­ment, Marc worked as a spe­cial­ized man­age­ment con­sul­tant to help chart new media strat­egy for two of Europe’s largest media and tele­vi­sion groups, Canal+ and TF1. Marc entered the video game indus­try with French group Atari/Infogrames in 1995 where he helmed prod­uct devel­op­ment and US expan­sion from the company’s Los Ange­les office. From 1997 to 2001, Marc was CEO of LA-based con­sole game devel­oper Player 1 where he man­aged licens­ing and pub­lish­ing part­ner­ships with Sega, Mid­way, Inter­play, and Uni­ver­sal – and suc­cess­fully deliv­ered eight Playsta­tion and Nin­tendo con­sole video game titles. In 2000 Marc began advis­ing investors and media com­pa­nies in the online gam­ing space. By 2002, Marc had become a pio­neer and inno­va­tor of film-style pro­duc­tion finance and risk man­age­ment tech­niques applied to inter­ac­tive enter­tain­ment and video games. Marc has since worked as a strate­gic advi­sor for clients such as: Warner Bros Inter­ac­tive (exec­u­tive pro­duc­tion of co-financed con­sole games), Deutsche Bank, Film Finances Inc (a pre­mier com­ple­tion bond com­pany) and UK-based Eidos Inter­ac­tive group. Since 2003, Marc has arranged and man­aged more than $75M in pro­duc­tion financ­ing of video game projects. Marc holds an MBA cum laude from the HEC School of Man­age­ment in Paris and a Bach­e­lors degree from Uni­ver­sity of Michi­gan. Marc is a licensed Series 63 Cal­i­for­nia broker-dealer.
MARK THOMPSON | Part­ner & Chief Technologist
Mark most recently was founder and pri­mary inven­tor of ShowInsider.com, a P2P media track­ing and ana­lyt­ics sys­tem. Pre­vi­ously, he was inventor/founder of Solid State Net­works, a next gen­er­a­tion con­tent deliv­ery sys­tem used by game com­pa­nies such as Fun­com, Acclaim and Wiz­ards of the Coast. Prior to Solid State, he worked with Lime­light Net­works to develop their down­load deliv­ery plat­form BulkGet, and was the Chief Soft­ware Archi­tect for Aero­cast, a joint ven­ture between Lib­erty Media and Gen­eral Instru­ment, which focused on video dis­tri­b­u­tion over the Inter­net to cable set top boxes. He has worked as a con­sul­tant for more than 15 years, on a wide vari­ety of com­mer­cially released and suc­cess­ful soft­ware projects. In the videogame space he has worked as a first party licensee for both Sega and 3DO, and a third party licensee for Sony. He also has worked on tech­nol­ogy projects with devel­op­ers such as 3DO Com­pany, Spec­trum Holobyte, Bliz­zard North, Epic Games, and Pana­sonic. Mark has worked closely with Marc Jack­son since 2004 start­ing with the eval­u­a­tion of over 20 high pro­file video game projects on behalf of Film Finances Inc (bond com­pany). Mark is also the devel­oper of AnalogX.com, an award win­ning site that dis­trib­utes the many soft­ware util­i­ties that he has writ­ten. Through­out his career in next gen­er­a­tion tech­nolo­gies, Mark has worked on more than 30 domes­tic and inter­na­tional patents, more than half of which he was pri­mary inven­tor. He has authored numer­ous patents cov­er­ing a wide range of soft­ware and Internet-related inven­tions, from 3D imag­ing to con­tent deliv­ery, GUI design to peer-to-peer com­mu­ni­ca­tions. Mark holds a BS in Com­puter Sci­ence from the Uni­ver­sity of Cal­i­for­nia at Berkeley.
ANGELICA MORSE | Busi­ness Analyst
Angel­ica has worked with Marc Jack­son since 2007, start­ing with client Eidos Inter­ac­tive on the con­cep­tu­al­iza­tion and analy­sis of a video game slate financ­ing plan, includ­ing prepa­ra­tion of his­tor­i­cal analy­sis of video game title per­for­mance, prepa­ra­tion of slate finan­cial plan­ning and port­fo­lio per­for­mance analy­sis, and analy­sis of project title and port­fo­lio mar­ket per­for­mance. Since 2008 she has per­formed sim­i­lar func­tions for Sea­horn Cap­i­tal includ­ing detailed prepa­ra­tion of both tra­di­tional and dig­i­tal dis­tri­b­u­tion fore­cast­ing based on the lat­est mar­ket research. Prior to Sea­horn, Angel­ica worked for Pep­per­dine University’s Trea­surer, where she per­formed finan­cial and trends analy­sis of the health­care and energy sec­tors. Angel­ica speaks Eng­lish and Span­ish flu­ently. Angel­ica obtained her Bach­e­lor of Busi­ness Admin­is­tra­tion degree from Pep­per­dine University.
